ACES Family Academies: July 10-12, 2024

Interested in teaching a 2024 Family Academies course?

We are looking for fun, interactive sessions for our 2024 program! Please consider participating by offering a 60-minute hands-on session targeted toward 8-13 year-old children (and their grandparents/parents/adults). If you have idea but would like to discuss how to make a topic age appropriate, we are happy to discuss with you!

Sessions can be offered once or twice based on your availability. If you are interested in leading a session but believe you need more than 60 minutes, we can schedule your class as a part I and part II, giving two 60 minute sessions (120 minutes total). If you believe your class would be ideally suited for a 90 minute time frame, please contact the ACES Alumni Office for consideration. Funds will be provided to reimburse for session supplies on a per person basis, up to $10 per person, as needed.

If you or someone you know are interested in participating, please complete the form at the below link by Friday, February 1. We will be accepting a variety of sessions in several areas to represent the full breadth of our college.

Session Proposal Form

You will be asked to provide:

A commitment to the dates of the program and if you have a preference for a specific day.
A session title with a short description that can be included in promotional materials (3-5 sentences). Our goal is to launch registration by March 1, 2023.
Number your session can accommodate. We would like to have a minimum of 15-20 people per session.
Name of the person coordinating and contact information.
Whether a specific classroom or lab is required and if you have access to this space to reserve.
If there is a day/time during the 2 days when the session cannot be lead (if known).
